As you sit down and ride the L bus nowadays, you tend to see many things; some good and some bad. The L begins its route at Broad Street and Olney Avenue, also known as Olney Terminal. This is a very popular site for bus takers because you have the subway and buses that can take you anywhere in Philadelphia, and to complement that you have many food shops where you can get a quick pick me up.
As the L leaves the terminal it goes in to the neighborhood areas such as Nedro and Ogontz Ave where there is an elementary school where children are playing in the school yard. While the L continues to ride you see a high school that was created in honor of one of the best civil rights leaders, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., which means this is Martin Luther King High school, a school filled with young hopefuls with dreams of becoming the best of their generation. As L continues its route the environment seems to change and you begin to notice that streets are cleaner, the trees are greener, and maybe the people might be nicer. Another important stop is at the Philadelphia Military Academy where students attend to become the best of the best. As the L gets around the final part of its course we see that the stores and buildings start to disappear and we see more of nature; this is because we have left Philadelphia. The people are smiling and their hearts are bigger. When the L reaches its final destination we end up at Plymouth Meeting Mall where people shop their brains off. Thanks for taking this ride with me; I hope to do it again. This is ARoseau signing offff!!!
